“Well received  and organized at the ULM Fant-Ewing Coliseum last year,” said Dennis Wall, Police Officer for the WMPD and the director of operations for BOTB. “Things went great. We’re hoping for an even bigger crowd at the coliseum. It has stadium-style seating and it’s a really nice venue. Our crowd base is typically families (of people in law enforcement and EMT), but we’re drawing people who don’t have a personal connection which is fantastic.”

Last year, BOTB raised approximately $25,000. Total of $300,000.

While general ticket-holders at Battle of the Badges will have access to concessions and a cash bar, a special VIP ticket will include an open bar and a complimentary buffet. Furthermore, there will be raffles, vendors, patriotic artwork and video tributes to fallen police and firefighters. Wall said, "Events like Battle of the Badge are crucial to raising awareness about law enforcement and firemen, brotherhood and brings safe, boxing-style entertainment to the local community."
